Cherry Price in Lithuania (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average cherry import price amounted to $2,804 per ton, with a decrease of -13.8% against the previous year. In general, the import price showed a pronounced decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of 62% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $4,586 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($4,446 per ton), while the price for Poland ($1,786 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+2.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

In 2022, the average cherry export price amounted to $2,738 per ton, with a decrease of -13.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price showed a abrupt decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when the average export price increased by 280% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $4,803 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($6,263 per ton), while the average price for exports to Belarus ($582 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+2.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, cherry exports dropped markedly to $1.1M in 2022. Overall, exports showed a deep setback.
