Chicken Egg Price in Russia (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average chicken egg import price amounted to $5,429 per ton, increasing by 60% against the previous year. In general, the import price enjoyed a strong increase. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Spain ($7,211 per ton), while the price for Kazakhstan ($917 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+4.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Chicken Egg Price in Russia (FOB) - 2022
The average chicken egg export price stood at $1,272 per ton in 2022, with an increase of 1.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a mild descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 118%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $1,786 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($1,372 per ton), while the average price for exports to Kyrgyzstan ($1,033 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United Arab Emirates (+59.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Chicken Egg Imports in Russia
Chicken egg imports into Russia declined dramatically to 28K tons in 2022, reducing by -60.9% on 2021 figures. In general, imports showed a precipitous slump. The smallest decline of -5.6% was in 2020.
In value terms, chicken egg imports declined sharply to $151M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a abrupt decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 3.2% against the previous year.

Chicken Egg Exports in Russia
In 2022, overseas shipments of chicken eggs decreased by -5% to 25K tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. Over the period under review, exports recorded a abrupt curtailment. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 6.7% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 43K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, chicken egg exports dropped modestly to $32M in 2022. In general, exports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 32% against the previous year.
