In 2022, the average chipped non-coniferous wood export price amounted to $96 per cubic meter, rising by 29% against the previous year. Overall, the export price saw a strong increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when the average export price increased by 405%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $346 per cubic meter in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Niger.

In 2022, the average chipped non-coniferous wood import price amounted to $118 per cubic meter, jumping by 16% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 584% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $133 per cubic meter. From 2021 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, exports of non-coniferous wood in chips or particles from Ghana dropped rapidly to 224 cubic meters, declining by -16.1% compared with the year before. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw a significant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 299% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 267 cubic meters, and then declined dramatically in the following year.

Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 200% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at 13 cubic meters in 2021, and then contracted significantly in the following year.
