The average chlorates; of sodium import price stood at $4,515 per ton in 2022, jumping by 35% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 an increase of 96%. The import price peaked at $5,604 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($27,000 per ton), while the price for China totaled $3,870 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+14.1%).
Chlorates; of Sodium Imports in Iran
In 2022, overseas purchases of chlorates; of sodia increased by 3.4% to 584 kg for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. Overall, imports, however, recorded a precipitous decrease.
In value terms, chlorates; of sodium imports skyrocketed to $2.6K in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a dramatic decline.
