The average chlorides; of magnesium import price stood at $446 per ton in September 2023, jumping by 29% against the previous month. In general, the import price showed measured growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in June 2023 when the average import price increased by 201% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $1,016 per ton. From July 2023 to September 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($1,826 per ton), while the price for Israel ($279 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Israel (+1.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
