Cinnamon Price in Estonia (FOB) - 2023
The average cinnamon export price stood at $14,526 per ton in September 2023, falling by -7.4% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.4%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in August 2023 when the average export price increased by 28% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $15,680 per ton, and then reduced in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Lithuania ($29,853 per ton), while the average price for exports to Norway ($9,407 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Latvia (+4.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Cinnamon Price in Estonia (CIF) - 2022
The average cinnamon import price stood at $7,690 per ton in 2022, declining by -2.2% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a prominent expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when the average import price increased by 36%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $7,860 per ton, and then shrank in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($10,354 per ton), while the price for Lithuania ($5,873 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+18.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
