Coffee Extract Price in Oman (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average coffee extract import price amounted to $5,602 per ton, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.9%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 16% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $5,979 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Iran ($8,159 per ton), while the price for Thailand ($1,479 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Iran (+7.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Coffee Extract Price in Oman (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average coffee extract export price amounted to $5,368 per ton, with an increase of 4.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated a temperate increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, coffee extract export price decreased by -10.6% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average export price increased by 62% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $7,706 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Iran ($18,619 per ton), while the average price for exports to Qatar ($4,710 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Iran (+19.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Coffee Extract Imports in Oman
In 2022, after three years of growth, there was decline in supplies from abroad of coffee extracts, essences and concentrates, when their volume decreased by -4.3% to 2.6K tons. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.7% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations in certain years. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 11%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 2.7K tons, and then fell modestly in the following year.
In value terms, coffee extract imports contracted to $14M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +2.7% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 9.3% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $15M, and then contracted slightly in the following year.

Coffee Extract Exports in Oman

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 59% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $480K.
