The average concentrated orange juice import price stood at $2,437 per ton in August 2023, declining by -8.8% against the previous month. In general, import price indicated a moderate increase from August 2022 to August 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +3.3% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on August 2023 figures, concentrated orange juice import price increased by +62.5% against September 2022 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 an increase of 19% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $2,672 per ton in July 2023, and then shrank in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($3,050 per ton), while the price for Croatia ($776 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a noticeable shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average export price increased by 29% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $3,157 per ton. From 2018 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
