Confectionery Price in Turkey (FOB) - 2022
The average confectionery export price stood at $2,910 per ton in 2022, growing by 12% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The export price peaked at $2,991 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($3,887 per ton), while the average price for exports to Syrian Arab Republic ($2,039 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+2.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Confectionery Price in Turkey (CIF) - 2022
The average confectionery import price stood at $3,748 per ton in 2022, reducing by -7.7% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 12%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $4,489 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was France ($4,600 per ton), while the price for Canada ($2,302 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Malaysia (+1.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Confectionery Exports in Turkey
In 2022, the amount of confectionery exported from Turkey rose notably to 597K tons, picking up by 10% on the previous year. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +9.5% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 21% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
