In July 2023, the average copper; master alloys export price amounted to $10,125 per ton, waning by -4.4% against the previous month. In general, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in April 2023 an increase of 14% month-to-month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $11,953 per ton. From May 2023 to July 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In July 2023, the countries with the highest prices were France ($12,689 per ton) and South Korea ($11,283 per ton), while the average price for exports to Bulgaria ($8,648 per ton) and Austria ($8,993 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Austria (+1.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average copper; master alloys import price amounted to $10,168 per ton, declining by -42.9% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed a strong increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when the average import price increased by 211% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $17,816 per ton, and then declined rapidly in the following year.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($14,374 per ton), while the price for Germany ($9,867 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
