The average copper; master alloys import price stood at $3,101 per ton in September 2023, rising by 13% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, showed a deep reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in June 2023 an increase of 580% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $23,436 per ton. From July 2023 to September 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($24,437 per ton), while the price for the UK ($5,460 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Japan (+5.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 185%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $46M, and then shrank sharply in the following year.
