The average copper; master alloys import price stood at $11,848 per ton in July 2023, jumping by 39% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a deep reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2022 an increase of 135% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $22,385 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to July 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Italy ($16,541 per ton), while the price for Germany ($10,972 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+5.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

The average copper; master alloys export price stood at $9,255 per ton in 2022, waning by -17% against the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 70% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $11,204 per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Romania ($10,932 per ton), while the average price for exports to Belgium ($6,524 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Latvia (+25.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
