The average copper; master alloys import price stood at $22,062 per ton in 2022, with an increase of 115% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate prominent growth. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($31,491 per ton), while the price for Belgium stood at $5,914 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by South Korea (+7.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Copper; Master Alloys Imports in Ukraine
For the third consecutive year, Ukraine recorded decline in purchases abroad of copper; master alloyses, which decreased by -36.8% to 632 kg in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a dramatic downturn.
In value terms, copper; master alloys imports soared to $14K in 2022. In general, imports showed a sharp shrinkage.
