The country with the largest volume of copper sanitary ware production was China (68K tons), comprising approx. 41% of total volume. The average copper sanitary ware import price stood at $19,554 per ton in 2022, picking up by 2.2% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.2%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 11%. Global import price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Denmark ($36,907 per ton), while Thailand ($12,460 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In value terms, copper sanitary ware exports amounted to $933M in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +2.0% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 33%. Over the period under review, the global exports hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in years to come.

Exports By Country

As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $21,222 per ton. From 2017 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
