In August 2023, the average copper wire export price amounted to $9,302 per ton, stabilizing at the previous month. In general, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in November 2022 an increase of 5.2% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $9,879 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to August 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In August 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices to Germany ($11,039 per ton) and Switzerland ($9,344 per ton), while the average price for exports to the UK ($9,055 per ton) and Romania ($9,196 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+1.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
