In September 2023, the average copper wire import price amounted to $9,264 per ton, surging by 1.9% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.1%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in January 2023 an increase of 15% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $10,112 per ton. From February 2023 to September 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices from Germany ($12,145 per ton) and Finland ($9,560 per ton), while the price for France ($8,874 per ton) and Sweden ($8,955 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+1.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
