In September 2023, the average copper wire import price amounted to $8,589 per ton, almost unchanged from the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.0%. The growth pace was the most rapid in November 2022 an increase of 6.7% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $9,152 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to September 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
