In August 2023, the average crispbread import price amounted to $2,043 per ton, waning by -13% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate slight growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2023 when the average import price increased by 16% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $2,445 per ton. From June 2023 to August 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($8,178 per ton), while the price for France ($1,093 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+4.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
