Currant and Gooseberry Price in France (CIF) - 2023
In August 2023, the average currant and gooseberry import price amounted to $5,496 per ton, dropping by -9.9% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in February 2023 when the average import price increased by 86% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $15,490 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to August 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($7,665 per ton), while the price for Germany ($1,270 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Cyprus (+9.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In September 2023, the average currant and gooseberry export price amounted to $11,526 per ton, rising by 491% against the previous month. Overall, the export price posted a perceptible expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in February 2023 when the average export price increased by 606% against the previous month.
