Currant and Gooseberry Price in Germany (CIF) - 2023
In August 2023, the average currant and gooseberry import price amounted to $1,111 per ton, growing by 38% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, showed a abrupt curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2023 an increase of 193% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $16,104 per ton. From June 2023 to August 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($10,299 per ton), while the price for the Czech Republic ($797 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+12.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
