Decaffeinated Coffee Price in Jordan (CIF) - 2022
The average decaffeinated coffee import price stood at $7,923 per ton in 2022, waning by -5.1% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, saw prominent growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average import price increased by 102%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $8,348 per ton in 2021, and then dropped in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Romania ($14,604 per ton), while the price for Kenya ($6,602 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+12.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Decaffeinated Coffee Price in Jordan (FOB) - 2022
The average decaffeinated coffee export price stood at $8,539 per ton in 2022, increasing by 67% against the previous year. In general, the export price enjoyed a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 an increase of 237% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $10,344 per ton in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($17,241 per ton), while the average price for exports to Saudi Arabia stood at $8,402 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United Arab Emirates (+5.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Decaffeinated Coffee Imports in Jordan
In 2022, purchases abroad of decaffeinated coffee was finally on the rise to reach 306 tons after two years of decline. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a precipitous decline.
In value terms, decaffeinated coffee imports surged to $2.4M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a dramatic shrinkage.
