Diagnostic Equipment Price in Lithuania (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average diagnostic equipment import price amounted to $57 per unit, jumping by 16% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a perceptible shrinkage. The import price peaked at $88 per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($180 per unit), while the price for Italy ($16 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Austria (+16.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Diagnostic Equipment Price in Lithuania (FOB) - 2022
The average diagnostic equipment export price stood at $768 per unit in 2022, growing by 41% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price recorded buoyant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when the average export price increased by 249% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $771 per unit in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was France ($4,084 per unit), while the average price for exports to Serbia ($24 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (+25.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Diagnostic Equipment Imports in Lithuania
In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas purchases of electro-diagnostic apparatus, and ultra-violet or infra-red ray apparatus, when their volume decreased by -23.4% to 547K units. In general, imports, however, saw a significant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 66% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 714K units, and then shrank significantly in the following year.
In value terms, diagnostic equipment imports declined to $31M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +9.1% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 24% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $35M, and then contracted in the following year.

Overall, total exports indicated a strong increase from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +13.1% over the last three-year period.
