Diagnostic Equipment Price in New Zealand (CIF) - 2023
The average diagnostic equipment import price stood at $122 per unit in July 2023, picking up by 19% against the previous month. Over the period under review, import price indicated a moderate increase from September 2022 to July 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +4.1% over the last ten-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on July 2023 figures, diagnostic equipment import price increased by +77.4% against April 2023 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in June 2023 when the average import price increased by 24% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum in July 2023.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was China ($910 per unit), while the price for Ireland ($58.3 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+28.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Diagnostic Equipment Price in New Zealand (FOB) - 2023
In July 2023, the average diagnostic equipment export price amounted to $96.8 per unit, declining by -54.3% against the previous month. Overall, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in June 2023 when the average export price increased by 58% against the previous month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $212 per unit, and then declined dramatically in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was France ($119 per unit), while the average price for exports to Thailand ($61.0 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Singapore (+1.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Diagnostic Equipment Imports in New Zealand
In 2022, imports of electro-diagnostic apparatus, and ultra-violet or infra-red ray apparatus into New Zealand amounted to 1M units, growing by 6.9% against 2021. In general, total imports indicated prominent growth from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +14.5% over the last three-year period.
