In 2022, the average dithionites and sulphoxylates import price amounted to $2,437 per ton, waning by -1.7% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.9%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 an increase of 33% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $2,479 per ton in 2021, and then shrank in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Spain ($2,722 per ton), while the price for India ($1,589 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+4.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports decreased by -21.4% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 54% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $1.5M.
