Dried Grapes Price in the Czech Republic (CIF) - 2022
The average dried grapes import price stood at $1,954 per ton in 2022, waning by -9.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw a noticeable curtailment. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 11%. The import price peaked at $2,434 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Chile ($2,784 per ton), while the price for China ($1,720 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Chile (+0.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Dried Grapes Price in the Czech Republic (FOB) - 2023
The average dried grapes export price stood at $2,559 per ton in August 2023, with a decrease of -13.2% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.3%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in June 2023 an increase of 34% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $3,114 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to August 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Poland ($3,818 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany ($1,545 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Serbia (+16.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Dried Grapes Imports in the Czech Republic
In 2022, overseas purchases of dried grapes increased by 1.1% to 4.6K tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. In general, imports, however, showed a noticeable shrinkage.
In value terms, dried grapes imports declined to $9M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a abrupt slump. The smallest decline of -7.1% was in 2020.
