Dried Vegetables Price in Russia (CIF) - 2022
In January 2022, the average dried vegetables import price amounted to $2,470 per ton, reducing by -11% against the previous month. Over the period from January 2021 to January 2022, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.0%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in February 2021 when the average import price increased by 76% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $3,442 per ton. From March 2021 to January 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Serbia ($4,116 per ton), while the price for Tajikistan ($1,050 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+2.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Dried Vegetables Price in Russia (FOB) - 2022
In January 2022, the average dried vegetables export price amounted to $3,260 per ton, increasing by 3.2% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in August 2021 an increase of 36% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $3,994 per ton in November 2021; however, from December 2021 to January 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($4,085 per ton), while the average price for exports to Belarus ($2,565 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belarus (+1.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Dried Vegetables Imports in Russia
In 2022, approx. 20K tons of dried vegetables and mixtures of vegetables were imported into Russia; approximately mirroring the previous year's figure. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.1% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 14%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 20K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, dried vegetables imports declined to $47M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +8.2% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 20% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $51M, and then shrank in the following year.
