Dry Bean Price in Paraguay (FOB) - 2022
The average dry bean export price stood at $686 per ton in 2022, falling by -18.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price showed a noticeable slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when the average export price increased by 21%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $944 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, overseas shipments of beans (dry) decreased by -20.2% to 2.1K tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. Over the period under review, exports, however, enjoyed a significant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 138% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 2.6K tons, and then declined notably in the following year.

In value terms, dry bean imports stood at $290K in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, posted a prominent expansion.
