In March 2022, the average ester gums export price amounted to $2,559 per ton, which is down by -6.9% against the previous month. Over the period under review, export price indicated a notable expansion from March 2021 to March 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +3.5% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on March 2022 figures, ester gums export price increased by +50.9% against March 2021 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2021 when the average export price increased by 15% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $2,750 per ton in February 2022, and then contracted in the following month.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was Russia ($2,578 per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland totaled $2,156 per ton.
