In 2022, the average ferro-alloys; ferro-silico-chromium export price amounted to $1,772 per ton, growing by 8.3% against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated modest growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +1.8% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, ferro-alloys; ferro-silico-chromium export price increased by +19.1% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 an increase of 36%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $2,508 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Japan ($2,888 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands ($223 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+9.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, exports of ferro-alloys; ferro-silico-chromia from Kazakhstan declined sharply to 24K tons, with a decrease of -22% compared with 2021. Overall, exports showed a abrupt curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 79%.
In value terms, ferro-alloys; ferro-silico-chromium exports fell significantly to $43M in 2022. In general, exports recorded a deep contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 45%.
