The average ferro-alloys; ferro-vanadium import price stood at $29,183 per ton in 2022, dropping by -7.8% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, saw a tangible increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the average import price increased by 141%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $58,891 per ton. From 2019 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the highest price was recorded for prices from South Korea ($32,225 per ton) and China ($30,717 per ton), while the price for Austria ($26,869 per ton) and the Netherlands ($28,277 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by South Korea (+4.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average ferro-alloys; ferro-vanadium export price stood at $12,940 per ton in 2022, reducing by -7.2% against the previous year. In general, the export price continues to indicate a pronounced shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when the average export price increased by 42%. The export price peaked at $17,923 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for the Netherlands.
From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for the United States amounted to +1.2% per year.

In 2022, overseas purchases of ferro-alloys; ferro-vanadia decreased by -67.7% to 219 tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. In general, imports showed a precipitous decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 4.8%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 695 tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
