Fiberboard Price in Mexico (CIF) - 2023
The average fiberboard import price stood at $531 per cubic meter in August 2023, growing by 64% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in November 2022 when the average import price increased by 70% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $565 per cubic meter in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to August 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for the United States.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for the United States amounted to +1.4% per month.
Fiberboard Price in Mexico (FOB) - 2022
The average fiberboard export price stood at $274 per cubic meter in 2022, with an increase of 80% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated a temperate increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($281 per cubic meter), while the average price for exports to Guatemala amounted to $98 per cubic meter.

Fiberboard Imports in Mexico
