Fibreboard Price in Tanzania (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average fibreboard import price amounted to $422 per cubic meter, growing by 13% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.8%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average import price increased by 25%. The import price peaked at $433 per cubic meter in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was South Africa ($1,142 per cubic meter), while the price for Brazil ($123 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by South Africa (+14.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Fibreboard Price in Tanzania (FOB) - 2022
The average fibreboard export price stood at $283 per cubic meter in 2022, rising by 40% against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The export price peaked at $347 per cubic meter in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Rwanda ($599 per cubic meter), while the average price for exports to Kenya ($215 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Rwanda (+7.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
