In 2022, the average fish; live, carp import price amounted to $1,159 per ton, growing by 14% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, saw a abrupt curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when the average import price increased by 52% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $9,828 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Russia.

In 2022, overseas purchases of fish; live, carps decreased by -17.2% to 11 tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 148%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 16 tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, fish; live, carp imports shrank to $13K in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +7.3% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years.
