Fish; Live, Carp Price in Serbia (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average fish; live, carp import price amounted to $2,400 per ton, growing by 20% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average import price increased by 25% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $2,599 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($2,825 per ton), while the price for Croatia ($1,339 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by North Macedonia (+19.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Bosnia and Herzegovina amounted to +4.5% per year.
