Fishing Rods Price in Vietnam (FOB) - 2022

In 2022, the average fishing rods export price amounted to $79,892 per ton, with a decrease of -2.5% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, enjoyed a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when the average export price increased by 93% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $81,905 per ton in 2021, and then fell in the following year.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were Australia ($79,604 per ton) and Japan ($79,604 per ton), while the average price for exports to China ($79,604 per ton) and South Korea ($79,604 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+15.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +45.7% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 29%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 61 tons, and then dropped in the following year.

In value terms, fishing rods imports reduced to $3.5M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, enjoyed significant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 75% against the previous year.
