In 2022, the average flax yarn import price amounted to $3,190 per ton, reducing by -17.1% against the previous year. In general, the import price continues to indicate a deep setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when the average import price increased by 23%. The import price peaked at $5,940 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Bangladesh ($2,294 per ton), while the price for Egypt stood at $1,787 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Bangladesh (-8.1%).
Flax Yarn Imports in Jordan
