The average fluorides; of aluminium import price stood at $1,870 per ton in August 2023, growing by 3.4% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.7%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in November 2022 when the average import price increased by 18% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $1,940 per ton in May 2023; afterwards, it flattened through to August 2023.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Sweden ($2,058 per ton), while the price for Serbia stood at $1,646 per ton.
