Frozen Fruit Price in Ecuador (FOB) - 2022
In January 2022, the average frozen fruit export price amounted to $1,435 per ton, almost unchanged from the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.2%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2021 an increase of 13% month-to-month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $1,524 per ton. From May 2021 to January 2022, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Spain ($2,682 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany ($790 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Spain (+1.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average frozen fruit import price stood at $2,513 per ton in 2022, surging by 104% against the previous year. In general, the import price posted a strong increase. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($10,526 per ton), while the price for Colombia ($1,177 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Argentina (+54.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
