Frozen Fruit Price in Poland (FOB) - 2023
In June 2023, the average frozen fruit export price amounted to $2,170 per ton, which is down by -4.3% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in December 2022 when the average export price increased by 10% month-to-month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $2,455 per ton. From January 2023 to June 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Denmark ($3,313 per ton), while the average price for exports to Belarus ($764 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Czech Republic (+3.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Frozen Fruit Price in Poland (CIF) - 2023
The average frozen fruit import price stood at $1,972 per ton in June 2023, surging by 2.4% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in July 2022 an increase of 7.8% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $2,385 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to June 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Serbia ($3,940 per ton), while the price for Egypt ($1,144 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+1.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Frozen Fruit Exports in Poland
In 2022, frozen fruit exports from Poland reduced remarkably to 313K tons, declining by -18.5% compared with the year before. In general, exports showed a noticeable decrease. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 14%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 384K tons, and then contracted significantly in the following year.
In value terms, frozen fruit exports stood at $744M in 2022. Over the period under review, total exports indicated a prominent expansion from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +12.6% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +42.7% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 31%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Frozen Fruit Imports in Poland
For the fourth consecutive year, Poland recorded growth in overseas purchases of frozen fruits, which increased by 4.6% to 136K tons in 2022. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +9.7% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 13% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, frozen fruit imports reached $345M in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a significant increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +23.0% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +86.3% against 2019 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 43% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the near future.
