The average frozen strawberries import price stood at $1,879 per ton in August 2023, growing by 4.6% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in December 2022 an increase of 12% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $2,221 per ton. From January 2023 to August 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($3,531 per ton), while the price for Argentina ($1,334 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (+5.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

In August 2023, the average frozen strawberries export price amounted to $2,409 per ton, with a decrease of -4.4% against the previous month. In general, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in October 2022 an increase of 30% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $3,473 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to August 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Japan ($3,794 per ton), while the average price for exports to Mexico ($2,033 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Mexico (+4.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
