Frozen Sweet Corn Price in Kuwait (CIF) - 2021
The average frozen sweet corn import price stood at $2,361 per ton in December 2021, shrinking by -20.8% against the previous month. Over the last eleven-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.4%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2021 when the average import price increased by 46% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $2,979 per ton, and then contracted notably in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Saudi Arabia ($3,134 per ton), while the price for India ($1,208 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to December 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Thailand (+17.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Frozen Sweet Corn Price in Kuwait (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average frozen sweet corn export price amounted to $583 per ton, picking up by 33% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a abrupt shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 an increase of 40% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $3,257 per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Iran ($716 per ton), while the average price for exports to Saudi Arabia ($195 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Oman (+522.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Frozen Sweet Corn Imports in Kuwait
In 2022, the amount of frozen sweet corn imported into Kuwait surged to 3.7K tons, growing by 23% compared with 2021. Over the period under review, imports showed a relatively flat trend pattern.
In value terms, frozen sweet corn imports reached $5.1M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +2.2% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 19%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $5.6M. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

Frozen Sweet Corn Exports in Kuwait
In 2022, the amount of frozen sweet corn exported from Kuwait skyrocketed to 12 tons, picking up by 53% against the previous year. Overall, total exports indicated moderate growth from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.1% over the last three years.
