Frozen Sweet Corn Price in Lithuania (CIF) - 2023
In September 2023, the average frozen sweet corn import price amounted to $2,120 per ton, which is down by -19.3% against the previous month. Overall, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in January 2023 when the average import price increased by 65% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $3,055 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to September 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($4,570 per ton), while the price for Poland ($1,512 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+3.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average frozen sweet corn export price amounted to $1,499 per ton, which is down by -2.3% against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the average export price increased by 61% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $2,843 per ton. From 2015 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Latvia ($1,725 per ton), while the average price for exports to Estonia stood at $1,370 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belarus (+76.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Frozen Sweet Corn Imports in Lithuania
For the fourth year in a row, Lithuania recorded growth in supplies from abroad of frozen sweet corn, which increased by 91% to 385 tons in 2022. Over the period under review, imports saw significant growth. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
