Fructose Price in Israel (FOB) - 2022
The average fructose export price stood at $1,081 per ton in 2022, rising by 19% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a pronounced curtailment. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when the average export price increased by 20% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $1,329 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to South Korea ($1,251 per ton) and the United States ($1,098 per ton), while the average price for exports to Chile ($1,063 per ton) and Spain ($1,063 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to South Korea (-0.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Fructose Price in Israel (CIF) - 2022
The average fructose import price stood at $1,620 per ton in 2022, picking up by 4.5% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.5%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when the average import price increased by 13%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the highest price was recorded for prices from India ($1,707 per ton) and Indonesia ($1,707 per ton), while the price for Mexico ($1,343 per ton) and the United States ($1,433 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United Arab Emirates (+6.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Fructose Exports in Israel
Fructose exports from Israel stood at 30K tons in 2022, with an increase of 2.2% against 2021 figures. Overall, exports, however, saw a perceptible decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 25% against the previous year.
