Fruit Flour Price in the United States (FOB) - 2023
The average fruit flour export price stood at $5,127 per ton in September 2023, falling by -12.3% against the previous month. In general, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in November 2022 when the average export price increased by 28% against the previous month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $7,504 per ton. From December 2022 to September 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Mexico ($6,636 per ton), while the average price for exports to the UK ($1,268 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+44.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Fruit Flour Price in the United States (CIF) - 2023
In September 2023, the average fruit flour import price amounted to $4,229 per ton, with a decrease of -7% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 an increase of 79% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $6,977 per ton in October 2022; however, from November 2022 to September 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was China ($7,720 per ton), while the price for Sri Lanka ($1,082 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Philippines (+4.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Fruit Flour Exports in the United States
For the fourth year in a row, the United States recorded growth in overseas shipments of fruit flour, which increased by 0.7% to 9.4K tons in 2022. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +6.1% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 11% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
In value terms, fruit flour exports stood at $64M in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +6.8% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations in certain years. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 27%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $66M. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
