Fruit Price in Poland (CIF) - 2022
The average fruit import price stood at $1,014 per ton in 2022, rising by 2.3% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.6%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 8.9%. The import price peaked in 2022 and is likely to see gradual growth in the near future.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($1,277 per ton), while the price for Guatemala ($620 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+2.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Fruit Price in Poland (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average fruit export price amounted to $517 per ton, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous year. Overall, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when the average export price increased by 31%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $575 per ton. From 2021 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Ukraine ($1,127 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany ($349 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ukraine (+4.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Fruit Imports in Poland
In 2022, purchases abroad of fruits decreased by -8.6% to 1.5M tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +6.7% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 34%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 1.7M tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, fruit imports shrank to $1.6B in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +10.3% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 37% against the previous year.

Fruit Exports in Poland
In 2022, approx. 983K tons of fruits were exported from Poland; waning by -19.8% on the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, exports saw a deep contraction.
