Ghee Price in Oman (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average ghee import price amounted to $6,128 per ton, falling by -4.6% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.8%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when the average import price increased by 21% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $6,421 per ton in 2021, and then contracted modestly in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($11,366 per ton), while the price for Uganda ($3,958 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kenya (+18.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Ghee Price in Oman (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average ghee export price amounted to $2,936 per ton, shrinking by -7.8% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.0%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when the average export price increased by 41% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $4,213 per ton. From 2021 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United Arab Emirates (+3.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
