Ghee Price in the Netherlands (FOB) - 2023
The average ghee export price stood at $6,978 per ton in June 2023, remaining stable against the previous month. In general, the export price showed a slight curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in September 2022 an increase of 4.5% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $8,605 per ton in June 2022; however, from July 2022 to June 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Saudi Arabia ($9,220 per ton), while the average price for exports to Belgium ($5,632 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Indonesia (+3.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Ghee Price in the Netherlands (CIF) - 2022
The average ghee import price stood at $7,052 per ton in 2022, jumping by 36% against the previous year. Overall, the import price recorded strong growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when the average import price increased by 56%. The import price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($8,320 per ton), while the price for Poland ($2,663 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+9.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Ghee Exports in the Netherlands
Ghee exports from the Netherlands reached 68K tons in 2022, therefore, remained relatively stable against 2021. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a noticeable setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 1.9% against the previous year.

In general, total exports indicated a strong increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +8.5% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +60.7% against 2020 indices. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Ghee Imports in the Netherlands
