Ginger Price in Slovenia (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average ginger import price amounted to $2,621 per ton, falling by -13.4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import price indicated a moderate expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.4% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, ginger import price decreased by -23.6% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 an increase of 52% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $3,430 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Croatia ($5,745 per ton), while the price for China ($1,565 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Croatia (+0.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Ginger Price in Slovenia (FOB) - 2022
The average ginger export price stood at $1,762 per ton in 2022, dropping by -26.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a pronounced contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 41% against the previous year.
