Glass Fiber Price in Slovenia (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average glass fiber export price amounted to $8,133 per ton, picking up by 441% against the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded strong growth. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Bosnia and Herzegovina ($23,010 per ton), while the average price for exports to Austria ($4,347 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bosnia and Herzegovina (+30.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Glass Fiber Price in Slovenia (CIF) - 2022
The average glass fiber import price stood at $5,121 per ton in 2022, rising by 110% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a strong increase. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($13,228 per ton), while the price for Latvia ($2,004 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Czech Republic (+26.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Glass Fiber Exports in Slovenia
In 2022, shipments abroad of voiles, webs, mats and other articles of glass fibers decreased by -94% to 1.6K tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. In general, exports recorded a sharp contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 10% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 28K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, glass fiber exports fell markedly to $13M in 2022. Overall, exports showed a dramatic descent. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 18%.

Overall, imports continue to indicate a sharp reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 23%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 10K tons, and then dropped markedly in the following year.
In value terms, glass fiber imports fell dramatically to $9.8M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports saw a drastic downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 30%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $25M, and then shrank significantly in the following year.
