Glass Fibre Filament Price in Lithuania (CIF) - 2023
In December 2023, the average glass fibre filament import price amounted to $1,086 per ton, shrinking by -11.9% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in January 2023 an increase of 26% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $1,455 per ton in September 2023; however, from October 2023 to December 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices from Bahrain ($1,273 per ton) and Germany ($1,260 per ton), while the price for Egypt ($937 per ton) and Latvia ($1,233 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Egypt (-0.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

In 2022, the average glass fibre filament export price amounted to $3,806 per ton, jumping by 143% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average export price increased by 367% against the previous year. The export price peaked in 2022 and is likely to see gradual growth in the near future.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($5,366 per ton), while the average price for exports to France ($1,118 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Denmark (+105.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
